Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is much different than traditional body work. A conventional paint repair in a body shop either 1) replaces the damaged panel or they 2) reshape the panel with special tools, fill the remaining low with a filler, sand the panel, prep it, and then repaint it all. The PDR process tries to limit the need for all of that by reshaping the damaged panel without disturbing the paint finish.
This resulting repair thus has the original manufacturers panel, no fillers, and original paint. That’s a win-win-win.
Benefits of PDR
- No fillers or sanding
- No non-factory re-paint
- No accident reporting
- Overall vehicle value maintained
- Most cases the repair is much less expensive
- Lower cost usually means no insurance claim needed
- Same day service for most repairs
But the question of the day is: “Is my dent a candidate for this PDR process?”
Many of the repairs I look at are unfortunately not repairable with my process. If this is the case, at least you know and have ruled out PDR. Also, I can help you understand what is needed to repair the vehicle and give you a solid list of body shop vendors that would best be able to handle your situation.
There are many good shops in the area (Spokane, Spokane Valley, Post Falls, Coeur d’Alene, Hayden, and surrounding towns) that are very experienced in auto body. Here is a list of local shops that I have experience with: CLICK HERE. Tell them that Dent Viking sent you!
